Sean Ryan joined Campus Management in June 2009 to lead the company’s sales organization. Prior, he served in various executive capacities at Scantron Corporation, most recently as senior vice president and general manager of its Education business group. While at Scantron, Mr. Ryan set the software platform strategy and drove new product and services development resulting in sustained and substantial growth. He established industry partnerships and initiated relationships with some of the largest school districts in the country.

Originally from Wisconsin, Mr. Ryan was a Sloan Fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. There, he concentrated on international business, entrepreneurship and the emerging for-profit education space. He was a founding member of Stanford’s Business of Education Conference.

Prior to Stanford, Mr. Ryan lived and worked in Tokyo, Japan. There he helped launch several initiatives under various brands related to international education, foreign language learning and on-demand, distance learning.

A former state-level education policy analyst, Mr. Ryan received a graduate degree in political science from the University of Arizona. He completed his undergraduate work at The United States Air Force Academy, where he received the Political Science Distinguished Achievement Award and was named the outstanding student of the Russian Language. He then served seven years as an intelligence officer in a variety of assignments in the U.S. and abroad.

He was recently elected to serve a two-year term on the Education Board of SIIA, by the member companies of the Software and Information Industry Association.
